About Me
Dr. Phillip Nash, PhD
I lived with chronic pain for many years and experienced many bodywork modalities on my own healing journey.
Many teachers have shaped my approach to and understanding of working with the human body.

What is bodywork?
I work slow and as deep as the body increasingly allows, with presence, total immersion and flow: using sensations in my fingertips to sense patterns of tension within the body, and equanimous observation to help tensions release.
But I don’t do this alone…this is a participatory, meditative experience.
An invitation into conscious, circular breathing helps your awareness move from the head into the body, from mind into somatic immersion. You are drawn deeper into embodiment, and a deeper, more immersive experience of yourself.
Sensations of external touch become sensations of internal tension. Changing sensations due to slow external movement become changing sensations due to internal release within the body; long-held tensions soften and dissolve, and embodied trauma becomes energetic release, solid becomes fluid, static matter becomes energetic flow.
The process is designed to help free you from chronic pain, unresolved injuries, patterns of myofascial tension, embodied trauma and the network of holding patterns within the body.
The experience will help you release old trauma, emotional wounding and protections, and feel increased mobility and connection in the body. Your body will feel an increasingly safe place to be, and help remove the barriers to embodiment.
On a deeper level, the process helps reconnect disconnected parts of the body, re-integrate disconnected parts of the psyche, and leave you feeling transformed into a more coherent, connected and integrated whole.
Is all bodywork the same?
There exists a range of philosophies and frameworks from which bodyworkers draw in order to facilitate mind-body reconnection and provide care & service.
